When most of us think of getting fit, we worry about having to do the Biggest Loser type of exercise program. Endless, grueling hours in the gym to achieve steady weight loss and then keeping out that same regime in order to maintain our newly achieved form.
In many ways, the Biggest Loser just isn’t realistic, after all, who can afford to spend 6 hours in the gym each and every day? Not most people.
That’s why getting fit and healthy is about finding exercise that you enjoy.
Yes, I did say, “Enjoy.”
Your body was designed for movement and once you start moving and learn how to become present in your body, you will discover the joy of movement. This is the secret to regular exercise: finding movement that you enjoy, whether that means running, weight lifting, yoga, cycling or just walking your dog around the park.
So in this section on getting fit and healthy, you will learn how to reconnect with your body and find an exercise program that feels less like a regimen than a daily activity that you look forward to becomes it helps you return to your center, refresh and rejuvenate yourself and ultimately, because it’s an experience that you enjoy.
