3 Big Benefits of Exercise
It doesn’t matter whether you’re in shape or not. The benefits of exercise still apply.
- Exercise helps you feel better about your appearance. Scientists attribute this too the fact that when you’re exercise, the brain releases feel-good neutrotransmitters that lift your mood and create a more positive outlook on life. Obviously, this can also increase your motivation.
- Exercise regulates blood sugar. One of the big benefits of exercise is that it prevents diabetes by keeping blood sugar within the normal range. Diabetes is a degenerative disease that can literally destroy your life. If you have diabetes, are pre-diabetic or have a family history of it, you need to do everything you can to keep your blood sugar in check. Exercise is a fun way to do that which does not involve swallowing pills or giving yourself shots.
- Exercise reduces belly fat. Participating in two 45-minute workout sessions per week will stop it from accumulating. Not only is belly fat unattractive, it is dangerous to the health of your vital organs.
Although these benefits of exercise are too good to ignore, don’t worry about having to do grueling workouts. Studies have shown that moderate exercise (think walking your dog around the park on a sunny day) burns more fat than running the same distance. Above all, remember that we always encourage you to make exercise fun because then you will want to do it.
